Migration Between States Slowed by Recession

Migration in several states that saw huge gains in the earlier part of the decade shrank in recent years. Florida saw its first migration loss since the 1940s. States that lost huge populations from out-migration in the early 2000s saw a decline in the number of people leaving as mobility slowed nationwide.
